| Breathwork... |
|
What if the way we breathe could help us manage physical pain, relax, gain mental clarity and access our subconscious self? Breathing is more than supplying our cells with oxygen
and expelling carbon dioxide. Breathe naturally; be inspired. Watch the way babies breathe when they sleep. Notice the gentle rise and fall of their tummies as they dream, assimilating all the new experiences of the day. Their breathing is relaxed and satisfying. Before social conventions and emotional restraints have a chance to do their work, we all breathe fully and naturally. As we grow from babyhood and start to take life’s lessons to heart, we find our breathing alters. We might breathe shallowly, just into the chest, feeling anxious for much of the time and forcing the body to over-correct with occasional deep gulps of air. Or we’ll breathe deeply and yawn mightily, taking lots of air into the stomach without feeling fully energised, somehow. There is a better way. By focussing on our breath, we can gradually change the way we breathe and the way we look at life. Breathwork is calming, cleansing and deeply rewarding. It will lessen tensions present in the body and help to release the accumulated stresses caused by years of emotional wear and tear. Life will flow with a greater sense of ease and harmony.
